The "Friends of the South Warrington Library in Stockton Heath" (SWISH) are dedicated to making the library a valued asset of the Local Community by supporting the development of activities which enhance the use of its facilities

SWISH seek to make the library a valuable local resource by holding regular events such as Film Nights, Board Game Nights, Wine Tasting, Lectures and Art Exhibitions. Temporary Closure of Library
Stockton Heath Library closed on Saturday 1st June for redevelopment and will re-open end of August/early September. During the closure, Lymm and Warrington Libraries are the nearest to Stockton Heath. There will also be a limited provision at Broomfields Leisure Centre on Broomfields Road, WA4 3AE during the closure period.

2018 was an amazing year for the Friends, with so many successes it is hard to list them all. From the popular talks by Bill Cooke to Stockton Heath Festival, to a wonderful Wine Tasting evening. The film nights go from strength to strength and in the autumn we introduced a new monthly Board Games Night.

Our Second Annual General Meeting will take place at 7.00 on Thursday 13th June. Work on the redevelopment of the library may have started by then, so we have arranged an alternative nearby venue, at the Pavilion in Alexandra Park , next to the bowling greens.

Board Games Nights in 2019

Board Games Nights in 2019
Board gaming nights are held on the third Thursday of every month. A variety of games will be on offer from simple to complex, short to long, player vs player or ones where you work together as a team.  All abilities and ages from 16 years and up are welcome.
