The "Friends of the South Warrington Library in Stockton Heath" (SWISH) are dedicated to making the library a valued asset of the Local Community by supporting the development of activities which enhance the use of its facilities
SWISH seek to make the library a valuable local resource by holding regular events such as Film Nights, Board Game Nights, Wine Tasting, Lectures and Art Exhibitions. Check out the current activities using the links below. We welcome new members both at our events and as helpers and if you require further information please use the link below to contact one of our Committee.
Please note that due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the library will be closed from Wednesday 30th December 2020 until further notice. There will, therefore, be no SWISH activities within the Library for the foreseeable future.
Share your reading experiences
Reading has provided an respite from the gloom of the last twelve months, helped by the positive response from Livewire when they have been able to open libraries. You may been acquiring new books from sources other than libraries, in addition to re-reading old favourites that have been sitting on a bookshelf. We wondered if our SWISH members would like to share some of their reading experiences from 2020.
LUSH are running a national conference targeting Friends of Libraries groups will 12 workshops including fundraising advice for Friends groups and advice on delivering online and face to face activities from Knit and Natter, to storytelling in schools, to yoga for health and community elevation.
